Biosulfur recovery in agriculture and elastomer manufacturing
Determination of possible recovery routes for sulfur residue that represent an alternative to the current one (landfill).
Characterization and technical validation at laboratory scale of the different ways of recovery.
First, the residue produced after the desulfurization process was collected.
This residue must undergo a pre-drying process in order to be recovered.
We worked in parallel studying the different ways of recovery.
In addition, laboratory scale tests were done.
Finally, companies from other sectors interested in the purchase or direct use of the waste were contacted, for example, in agriculture, fertilizer manufacturing or eco-rubber manufacturing.
