Problem

The client manufactures plastic parts that deteriorate when in contact with oils.

Objectivoe

Develop a microstructure in the pieces that repels oils.

ATRIA Solution

Custom microstructuring was carried out in test moulds, which transferred the microstructure to the plastic parts when injected. Finally, a microstructure was obtained in the plastic that repelled oil, increasing its contact angle by 40º.
