Communications bridge with PLC for transformer

Petition / Problem

Our client asks us to create a communication bridge between his Omron PLC and an Omicron device, which is in charge of testing the transformer coils in the first substation to verify that they work well.

Objective

Find and implement a communications bridge which is responsible of transmitting the PLC orders to the Omicron and returning the results and the OK / NOK of the tests to the PLC.

ATRIA solution

An application was developed to receiving the orders from the PLC through TCP / IP communication, processing them and sending the appropriate command to the Omicron device. On the other hand, it collects the results of the commands and the test of the transformers and sends it back to the PLC for the registration and the pertinent warning to the operators.
