Defects in injected plastic pieces after subjecting the parts to erosion, washing and painting processes.

Know the possible origin of defects in plastic parts.

Defective parts were analyzed by SEM and XPS analysis. Several conclusions were obtained relating the composition of the defects with agents used throughout the process. The composition of these agents, baths, detergents, erosion agents was also analyzed to establish relationships and conclusions.
